March 16 - 21, 2020

Barbados combines heat, sun, quiet roads and food in a friendly small town atmosphere.   The people are polite, the roads are serpentine, the breeze is consistent which combine to make it a great spot for a short getaway (plus, we stay far away from the hustle of the resorts).  The cycling is challenging with steep climbs (8-15%) and lots of twists and turns. Direct 4.5 hour flights from Toronto by Westjet and Air Canada make it quite accessible.

Intermediate and Advanced level riders will enjoy the challenging climbs on our varied routes.  We ride earlier in the day and avoid the heat of 2:00-5:00pm.  This time can be spent catching up on a book or exploring the island.   Rides are accented with tough, punchy climbs of 1 to 5 km in length at pitches of 8%-15%.  We stay on the north east side of the island, near Belleplaine, well away from the resorts and their traffic and noise.  Quiet roads are at our doorstep and the surf is a short stroll away.

Santosha is located near Belleplaine in Saint Andrews Parish on the rugged North East Coast.  This is a very private 10 room former yoga retreat located 150 metres from the Bathsheba Beach.  These are the famous surf beaches with large waves so swimmers must be cautious.  The resort has a great deck, pool house and pool to make post ride lounging relaxing.

Food is catered and all 3 meals are included in this trip.
